Dubai offers accounting job employment opportunities for local as well as foreign nationals. Priorities are applicants who are board passers – those bearing the title Certified Public Accountant (CPA), especially one of US standard. Having a Master’s Degree is an advantage that comes with more job opportunities. Non-CPAs who are graduates of a degree in Bachelor of Science in Commerce or Business and Finance major in Accounting may also be considered but only for lower level jobs. The competitive nature of companies operating in the UAE demands competitive performance which necessitates excellent qualifications of their hired professionals.

The career prospects of a CPA are promising in Dubai because of the opportunities offered by big companies. Dubai offers a tax-free environment for salary earners along with benefits to attract foreign workers who are highly qualified for available work. There is room for growth for those who exhibit high performance with quality output. As big companies increase in number and as Dubai continues to grow, so do accounting job opportunities.

The quality of life in Dubai and the tax-free salary package do not only attract highly skilled professionals from around the globe but also foreign investors to set up their companies, accounting firms among these. Foreign companies representing various industries choose to locate in Dubai because of its state-of-the-art infrastructure and the attractive business incentives which the UAE government offers them. Dubai has grown to become a major financial services and accounting outsourcing locality and has created outsourcing zones for captive and third-party outsourcing operations such as Dubai Outsource Zone which is a member of TECOM Investment. These outsourcing investments lead to enhanced availability of job openings in the accounting sector.

Thus, the desirable candidate for an accounting job is one who is meticulous and patient with numbers and who puts a premium on precision and data verification.
