DHA Licensing Procedures
by doconline » Thursday, 23rd February 2012 03:23 am

I’m a BDS degree holder; I am trying for a job in UAE, so after learning the procedures of it I have applied for DHA licensing.

If you want to apply for a Doctors job in UAE, you have to pass an examination and obtain a liecense to practice there.Dubai(DHA) and Abu Dhabi (HAAD)has separate procedures, for the other 5 emirates you have to pass the (MoH) Ministry of Health Examination which will be written, and viva. It also difference according to the Speciality.

Procedures for applying License in Dubai Health Authority (DHA).
Before applying view a video for procedures to apply for DHA, it helps
http://www.dha.gov.ae/EN/Media/Video/Pages/LearnhowtoapplyfornewprofessionalLicense.aspx

There will be initial payment for 200Dhrs. for credentialing fee to take up your application. The payment will accept ONLY UAE Visa, Credit and Debit cards, so before applying, check if somebody whom you have known has a UAE credit and debit card, which you can use for making the payment.

Documents to be prepared before applying:
File type: PDF, JPG, JPEG, DOC, DOCX, XLS, XLSX, ZIP, RAR, GIF, TIF,
PNG.
File Size up to: 4882 KB

1) Scan your relevant documents:

a) Valid Passport copies ( First page, last page and any other relevant pages like visa stamped pages)
b) Passport photo.( recent copy)
c) Your Degree Certificate
d) Medical or Dental Council Certificate ( Only One file is allowed)
e) A Good Standing Certificate from the medical or dental council.(Recent certificate – should not be more than 3 months)
f) Experience Letter from previous employer(s).

This site will be for applying New Professional Licensing.
http://eservices.dha.gov.ae/DHAWeb/default.aspx

1) Create New user
2) Follow the instructions ( After viewing the video it will help you to proceed)
3) Upload the Certificates and Passport copies.
4) After submitting, payment has to be done for them to proceed with reviewing the application.
5) After all the procedures are done, when you login the DHA, your Application Enquiry will give a status “Application is being viewed by the Regulation Staff”.
6) Then you have to wait till they contact you through your Email.
7) If they inform to submit Additional Documents, UPLOAD ALL THE ADDITIONAL DOCUMENTS AT ONE STRETCH, DO NOT upload one certificate and think to upload the other(s) later.
8) After submitting all the required documents they will take around 10 to 15 working days, to approve your application and then give approval for Taking your assessment exams.
9) After paying your assessment, you will be give an Link page to the Prometric site to choose your Exam Date and place, they have centres in many countries, you have a choice to choose your place.
10) Also the Prometric Payment is in US$.
11) As soon as you have paid your assessment they will sent your application to a company called Dataflow Group, to who we have to make a payment for 1000Dhirms for verification of all your submitted documents.
12) After completing your exam, results will appear after 7 to 10 working days.
13) IF YOU HAVE CLEARED THEN THEY WILL INFORM IN YOUR EMAIL AND ALSO THEY WILL SEND YOU THE LABOUR CARD

I have cleared my DHA Dentistry Assessment Exam.

My tips for you all is, you can check the Net For "SLE Exam" (i.e., Saudi Licensing Exam) you can get a lot of question models of it. It was very useful. if you are well prepared with those questions you will be able to clear the exam very easily.

All the best

hi

I want to ask one thing. I have read many quotes in this forum regarding DHA License. It is written in this forum that for practising in Dubai ( AS GP and Specialist---- for MDS People ) MDS people do not need to clear written exam. Only they need to clear VIVA exam ( oral ) after registering with DHA and taking viva date.

What is this Prometric exam for DHA. It is for which people, for BDS or MDS People ? Please clarify ?

What is correct ? For practising in Dubai, one ( BDS or MDS) has to give exam or not ?

Prometric is a approved Computerised centre, where we can give our exams.
DHA ( Dubai Health Authority) uses the Prometric centre to Conduct the exams

BDS have to clear the exam, For MDS there is no Exam but viva is been conducted.

The exam is a MCQ with 70 Questions, for 2 hours, the exam centres and the timing can be chose by us.(Chosing the centre near our place)

For working in Dubai we have to give this Exam for sure and clear it.

BDS - Written Exam (i.e, MCQ)( Which can be given at any Prometric Centre)

MDS - Viva

It will take three working days, if you haven't got the mail you can also check in your DHA Login and check for your result.

After getting your result you will have to find a job, simultaneously DHA will send you an eligibility letter with which you can find a job. After finding a job finish your Licensing procedure and get the license to work in Dubai

Hi..
I am a GP (MBBS doctor) from India. I have completed all steps for DHA license including getting Positive Dataflow verification of my educational and experience certificates. My Question is- Can I use the same POSITIVE DATAFLOW report from DHA for applying for HAAD license? or should I again pay them fee and do the verification again for HAAD? Afterall it is the same agency and same documents..!!! Please advise..Thank you..

i am a prosthodontist from egypt. i have applied for specialist licence and they have submitted my application as a specialist under supervision, do you think its more predictable to apply as a GP . I have heard you can not work as a specialist under supervision except in clinic with consultant or specialist at the same speciality.

Hello,

I am a specialist doctor from Morocco, recently relocated to Dubai.

I've already applied for the DHA license but my speciality diploma has been rejected. They say they only recognize speciality certificates issued by the National Doctor Authority!!

I keep on trying to convince them that this kind of certificate does not exist in Morocco and that in the fact, it's a diploma on speciality issued by the university, as for all specialty diplomas obtained after a residency program. Furthermore, with relevant documents, I've shown them that I've worked for three years with the MOH of Morocco and that I have a valide license to practice as a gastroenterologist.
No way...
Moreover, they say that in all cases, I will be granted a specialist under supervision license... they are basing the experience on the date the diploma has been issued. But in my university there is Always a huge delay before they provide us the diploma (as a paper document), but I started t work as a gastroenterologist beginning from the date I succeeded in the board exam at the completion of my residence program. I have an experience letter signed by the HR department that proves that!!

There is no way I can discuss with those people. They are treating me as if I was holding falsified documents or trying to fool them with a false profil.

Did ever one of you faced this kind of misadventure ? Is there any algerian or tunisian doctor out there ?

Thank you for your feedback.
