Enter prescription orders into the computer for out-patient dispensing/ prescription re-filling.
Assist the pharmacist with filling (prepare medications) and labeling prescriptions.
Compounding ointments, creams, oral solutions, and other extemporaneous preparations.
Prepacking bulk medications.
Fill medication cassettes through Unit Dose Dispensing, being responsible for the accurate dispensing and timely distribution of medication for in-patients.
Transport medications, drug-delivery from pharmacy to the nursing units
ensuring medication reaches the patient in the correct form and dose.
Prepare inventories, order drugs and supplies from the pharmacy storeroom and ensures that medicinal products are stored appropriately and securely to ensure freshness and potency within the responsible area of concern such as the satellite pharmacy.
Admixtures medication from vials to the appropriate number of sterile, disposable syringes using Aseptic Techniques.
Compound and calculate TPN/PPN orders for adults, pediatrics, and neonates.
Preparing and quality-checking of sterile intravenous preparations.
Preparing chemotherapeutic and non-chemotherapeutic agents.
Records all necessary data and statistics as to the prepared chemotherapy orders and number of patients on a daily basis.
Responding to medication-related queries from within the hospital.
