Mar/07 – till date Maersk Oil Qatar AS (MOQ)
HR Partner

Managing the recruiting and employment efforts for a USD 5 billion project in order to promote MOQ as an employer of choice both in the Gulf region and on an international scale.
My responsibilities include:

• Development & execution of recruitment plans and processes
• Continuous process mapping related functions such as recruitment, assessment, mobilization, consultancy services, etc.
• Working closely with the hiring managers to discuss business unit’s recruiting needs and advising them on best recruitment methods (technical & non technical)
• Recruitment, execution and management of Graduate and Entry level programmes
• Benchmarking salaries and rates for consultants
• Monitor international recruitment, interviews, employment contracts and mobilizations in coordination with Government relations Officer
• Screen candidates for qualifications, including availability, skill set, interest, salary range, etc.
• Preparation and review of the HR manual, policies and procedures
• Generate reports from HRIS related to Strategic HR
• Identify opportunities for participation in local and international recruitment fairs, exhibitions and conferences in order to maximise the return on investment
• Develop effective relationships with local schools, universities and colleges in Qatar and the Gulf region as an integral part of the Nationalisation strategy through innovative interventions like sponsorship of awards, events, guest lecturing etc.
• Manage relationships with external recruitment providers/agencies and maintain the preferred supplier list ensuring that the suppliers/vendors are regularly audited against quality standards and their ability to deliver results
• Design and implement attractive fee structure for external recruiters and monitor online job sites as per management’s budget
• Currently working on strategic projects like ‘HR Information hub’ and ‘Recruitment Excellence’


Jan/06 – Feb/07 Maersk Oil Qatar AS (MOQ)
HR Coordinator

Providing HR support and coordinating recruitment with the engineering and projects group for reaching a target of 100 technical personnel. My responsibilities included:

• Maintenance and administration of the recruitment database
• Co-ordination with Travel Agents and Hotel for Travel & Accommodation requirements of personnel coming for interviews
• Screening and interviewing graduates for ‘Entry level programme’ and internships
• Assisting in preparation of employment contracts and mobilization of personnel
• Preparation of job descriptions
• Coordinating candidate submissions, CV screening, technical & HR interviews

• Working closely with recruitment agencies on supplying technical and engineering personnel
