Abu Dhabi: All institutions registered under the Labour Ministry will, from September 2009, start paying their employees' wages and salaries through the newly-introduced Wages Protection System (WPS). Saqr Ghobash, Labour Minister, has issued a decree enforcing the new system, which involves transfer of salaries through few selected financial institutions, authorised and regulated by the Government.
