Employees had to face lower levels of salaries in the first half of the year, as companies in the country tried to reduce costs to sustain businesses.
Even though salary cuts differed from sector-to-sector and company-to-company, a survey conducted by Emirates Business showed the average pay cut that employees in the country faced ranged between 26 per cent and 30 per cent over the past year.
