Mercer, a leading global provider of consulting, outsourcing and investment services revealed that nine out of 10 firms plan to raise salaries next year, while nearly two-thirds said they plan to increase their workforce. The new survey has found that a large majority of companies in the UAE plan to raise salaries and staff levels in 2010.
 
According to Mercer said companies plan to boost salaries on average 7-7.5% in 2010, up from increases of 3.4-5.2% this year.
 
Recently many companies has reduced staffs and introduced pay cut to cope with the global recession and the construction and real-estate sectors are badly affected.
