Hiring activity picked up in the third quarter of this fiscal on the back of the country's economy showing signs of recovery. The employment activity has shown improvements particularly in the key sectors of industry, IT, construction and retail.
"While all industries are seeing a slight increase in hiring requirements as the year progresses, the third quarter did see a significant hiring increase in certain sectors. Secretarial and administrative roles were in high demand in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, and the IT and telecom companies in Dubai were also actively recruiting more," Patrick Luby, Managing Director of Manpower Middle East told Emirates Business.
